Product Description:
36XHТO is a low-alloy steel primarily designed for high-strength applications with good wear resistance and moderate corrosion resistance. Its chromium and nickel content provide a balance of mechanical properties, making it suitable for demanding industrial environments. This is an alloy steel grade that combines strength, toughness, and wear resistance with moderate corrosion resistance. It is commonly used in the aerospace, automotive, and heavy machinery industries, particularly for components subjected to dynamic loads.

Heat Treatment:
- Annealing: Heated to 850–900°C and cooled slowly to improve machinability.
- Quenching: Heated to 850–880°C, quenched in oil or water to increase hardness and strength.
- Tempering: Performed at 200–300°C to reduce brittleness and improve toughness.
- Stress Relieving: Conducted at 300–400°C to reduce residual stresses in welded or machined parts.
Applications:
- Aerospace Industry: Landing gear, engine components, and structural parts.
- Automotive Industry: Gears, shafts, and drivetrain components.
- Heavy Machinery: Components subjected to dynamic loads and wear.
- Oil and Gas Industry: Drill collars, couplings, and wear-resistant parts.
- Defense: High-strength parts for military applications.
Corrosion Resistance
- Chromium Contribution: Chromium provides moderate protection against rust and atmospheric corrosion by forming a stable oxide layer.
- Nickel Contribution: Nickel improves corrosion resistance in mildly aggressive environments, especially in moist conditions.
