Product Description:
30KHRA is a structural steel designed for applications where high mechanical strength and wear resistance are essential. It is often used in manufacturing parts subject to heavy loads and wear, such as gears, shafts, and other machine components. The addition of chromium improves hardness and corrosion resistance, while manganese enhances toughness. This is a low-alloy steel grade known for its high strength, wear resistance, and good toughness. It is commonly used in applications requiring durability, especially in heavy-duty machinery and structural components.

Heat Treatment:
- Normalizing: Heated to 850–900°C followed by air cooling, refining the grain structure.
- Quenching: Heated to 880–930°C and quenched in oil or water, enhancing strength and hardness.
- Tempering: Performed at 200–300°C after quenching to relieve stresses and improve toughness.
- Annealing: Done at 650–700°C to soften the steel and improve mach inability.
Applications:
- Automotive Industry: Components such as axles, gears, and crankshafts requiring high wear resistance.
- Machinery: Shafts, bolts, and heavy-duty machine parts.
- Oil and Gas: Drill rods, pipelines, and equipment subjected to mechanical stress.
- Agricultural Equipment: Wear-resistant parts like plows and harrows.
- Construction: Structural components and tools.
Corrosion Resistance
While 30KHRA is not primarily designed for corrosion resistance, its chromium content provides moderate protection against atmospheric corrosion. For enhanced corrosion resistance, surface treatments like galvanization or coating may be applied.
