Nickel 201 - Strengthened by Solid Solution
Nickel 201 is a solid solution toughened, commercially pure wrought material with good mechanical properties over a huge range of temperatures and great resistance to various corrosives, particularly hydroxides. Nickel 201 is an alteration of 200 to control carbon, which prevents it from being brittle by inter-granular precipitates at temperatures of 600° F. Supreme Engineering Limited can be consulted if you’re looking for Nickel 201 suppliers and Nickel 201 manufacturers.
The elemental restrictions of both – Nickel 200 and 201, are formed into one, dual-certified chemistry resulting in a single alloy with the desired features of both alloys, Nickel 201 and 200. Annealed nickel has a low hardness but good malleability and ductility. These characteristics, combined with good weldability, make the alloy highly fabricable.
Features of Nickel 201:
- Very resistant to different reducing chemicals.
- High electrical conductivity.
- Great corrosion resistance to distilled and natural waters.
- Good resistance to dry fluorine.
Specifications:
The various forms of Nickel 201 are covered by the following standards:
- ASTM B162.
- ASTM B160 and AMS 5553.
