Vacuum Induction Melting

Vacuum Induction Melting (VIM)

This is the most advanced primary melting process especially used for melting of Superalloys. The raw materials in the form of scrap and ferro-alloys are combined according to their chemical compositions to attain the required composition for the end product. During this stage, the raw materials are made molten and then poured into ingots by the process of casting through bottom pouring. The output of this process is pure ingots of the required chemical composition. We have two vacuum induction melting furnaces of 1500 kgs each with a total melting capacity of 3000 tons/month.
